Awaken
After tracing magical pathways within a precious gemstone, you touch a beast or plant, awakening sapience within it. Plants also become mobile.
1 Minute - 1 Creature or Plant (Touch) - 5th Level (Enchantment) - VSM - Permanent
Materials: You require a Large Agate, typically valued at 250 gold, which the spell consumes.
Utility Spell
You touch a beast or plant of huge size or smaller. The target must have no intelligence score or an intelligence of 4 or lower.
The target gains an Intelligence of 10 and the ability to speak one language you know.
The target is charmed by you for 30 days or until you or your companions do anything harmful to it. It may or may not remain friendly to you afterwards.
If the target is a plant, it gains a walking speed of 30 ft. and can see like a human could.
For plants that didn't previously have statistics, your GM chooses statistics appropriate for the awakened plant, such as the statistics for the awakened shrub or the awakened tree.
