Cloudkill

With a fell incantation, you conjure a drifting cloud of putrid, yellow-green poisonous fog that seeps into creatures through their skin.

Action - 20 ft. Radius (120 ft.) - 5th Level (Conjuration) - VS - Concentration (10 Minutes)

Constitution Save

Creatures are affected even if they hold their breath or don't need to breathe.

  • Failure: Targets take 5d8 poison damage and gain the poisoned condition. Targets roll again at end of their turns, ending the poisoned effect on success.

  • Success: Half damage.

  • Area Hazard: The area is lightly obscured. Targets roll a save when they enter or when they end their turn in the area (but only once per turn).

  • Concentration: At the start of each of your turns, you can choose to move the area of effect up to 10 ft in any direction.


*Upcasting: Increase damage by 1d8 for each spell level above 5th.


A moderate wind (at least 10 miles per hour) can move the cloud 10 ft. per round. A strong wind (at least 20 miles per hour) disperses the cloud and ends the spell.
