• Failure: Target is cursed. While cursed in this way, target has disadvantage on attacks against a creature you choose, and disadvantage on skill checks meant to directly oppose the chosen creature.*

• Success: No effect.

*For example, if you are cursed to have disadvantage against a corrupt noble, you would not have disadvantage on investigation checks to go through the noble's belongings. You would, however, have disadvantage on athletics checks to grapple the noble, or persuasion checks to outperform the noble in a public debate.
