Imprisonment
Action - 1 Creature (30 ft.) - 9th Level (Abjuration) - VSM - Permanentanent
Wisdom Save
Failure: The creature is bound by the chosen form of imprisonment. While affected, it does not need to breathe, eat, or drink, and it does not age. Divination spells cannot locate or perceive the target.
When casting, you may specify a condition that ends the imprisonment (e.g., when the tarrasque awakens). The condition must be observable and agreed upon by the DM. Each special component can maintain only one prison if you cast this spell again using the same component, the previous target is freed.
Choose one of the following forms of imprisonment:
Burial: The target is entombed far beneath the earth in a magical sphere just large enough to contain it. Nothing can pass through, and teleportation or planar travel cannot reach it. Special Component: a small mithral orb.
Chaining: Heavy chains root the target in place. The target is Restrained and cannot move or be moved. Special Component: a fine chain of precious metal.
Hedged Prison: The target is transported into a tiny demiplane warded against teleportation and planar travel. The demiplane can take the form of a labyrinth, cage, tower, or similar prison. Special Component: a jade miniature of the chosen prison.
Minimus Containment: The target shrinks to 1 inch in height and is sealed inside a gemstone or similar object. Light passes through normally, but nothing else can enter or exit, even by teleportation or planar travel. The gemstone cannot be cut or broken. Special Component: a large, transparent gemstone (corundum, diamond, ruby, etc.).
Slumber: The target falls into a magical sleep and cannot be awakened. Special Component: rare soporific herbs.
Success: The creature resists and becomes immune to further castings of this spell from you.
Dispel Magic can end this spell only if cast at 9th level, targeting either the prison or its special component.
