Locate Creature

You hold a forked twig in the air, repeating the name of the creature you're looking for. With a few hand gestures, the twig hones in on the creature you're looking for, bending and pulling your arm gently in their direction.

Action - 1000 ft.* - 4th Level (Divination) - VSM - Concentration (1 Hour)

Utility Spell

  • Describe and name a creature that you are familiar with: either a specific creature (Lady Gabrielle of Fallow) or the nearest creature of a certain ancestry (the nearest dwarf). You must be familiar with the chosen creature or type of creature. You don't need line of sight to the target.

  • You sense the closest creature who meets the requirements that you state.

  • If the creature is in motion, you know the direction of their movement.

  • You cannot locate a creature who is shapeshifted (or transformed via magic like Polymorph) into a different form than you are expecting.

*Upcasting: Range increases by 500 feet for each spell level above 2nd.
