Utility Spell
You create a passage through which creatures can safely travel, opening a gap in either a solid surface or body of water (or similar liquid). The spell cannot create a gap in organic material, moving objects, or creatures.
The passage can be as large as this spell's listed area of effect or smaller.
The passage can go in any direction, including upwards or downwards.
Passwall never causes structural instability or displaces material. Even if the hole created by the wall would cause a building to collapse, the building is stable as if the passwall was never created. This may cause things to float.
When the spell ends, anything inside the passage is safely ejected to the closest end of the passage, and the material originally displaced returns to its original location.
