Summoning
You may summon celestials, fiends, elementals, fey, or other extraplanar beings appropriate to the spell or your patron/deity.
The summoned creature is under no compulsion to obey. You may negotiate with it, offering payment or service in exchange for aid. Both you and the creature must be able to understand each other to make an agreement.
If the creature agrees, it performs the task you set. The duration may last minutes, hours, or days, depending on the bargain struck.
The spell ends when the task is complete, the negotiated duration expires, or no agreement is reached.
When the spell ends, the creature returns to its home plane. If appropriate, it may report back to you before departing.
The DM controls the creature's statistics and actions.
Example: A celestial might agree to guard a temple for 24 hours in exchange for a jeweled offering worth 500 gp. A demon could demand the sacrifice of a pure soul before lending aid. An elemental might insist that you perform an act of service, such as setting fire to a sacred grove, in return for scouting an enemy stronghold for 1 hour.
