This spell has no effect on a shapeshifter or a creature with 0 hit points.

• Failure: The target is transformed into the form of a CR 0 beast.

  • The target's statistics are replaced by the new form, including their ability scores, armor class, skills, movement, and actions they can perform.

  • The target's personality and memories are partially intact, but their intelligence is low enough that they cannot read, write, or speak.

  • The target's gear melds into the new form, and they cannot use any of their equipment.

  • The target gains 10 temporary hit points*. When they lose all temporary hit points, they revert to their original form and any excess damage is applied to the original form's hit points.

• Success: No effect.

*Upcasting: Increase temporary hit points by 10 for each spell level above 4th.
