Touch of Corrosion

You rub a pinch of rust on your hand and reach out towards metal, corroding it. If the object was a creature or wasn't in motion, the corrosion lingers longer, eating away at the metal.

Dexterity Save

This spell targets a single object or creature made mostly or entirely from metal. A creature holding an object makes the save on behalf of the object.

  • Failure (Creature): If target is a creature or stationary object made of metal, target takes 6d10 acid damage, is weakened, and their speed is halved.

  • Failure (Item): If target is metal armor, the wearer has disadvantage on dexterity saves and their speed is halved. If target is a metal weapon, any attack with it is made at disadvantage.

  • The lingering penalties can be reversed with the Mending or Reconstruct spells or with a DC 15 engineering or survival check over 1 hour.

  • Success: No effect.

*Upcasting: Increase damage to constructs by 2d10 for each spell level above 3rd.
