Antimagic Field
Action - Radius - 8th Level (Abjuration) - VSM - 1 Hours
Utility
An invisible sphere of antimagic surrounds and moves with you. Within the sphere, spells cannot be cast, summoned creatures disappear, and magic items become mundane.
Spells and magical effects are suppressed within the sphere unless created by an artifact or deity. A slot expended to cast a suppressed spell is consumed, and suppression counts against the effect's duration.
Targeted Effects: Spells and magical effects that directly target creatures or objects in the sphere (e.g., Magic Missile, Charm) have no effect.
Areas of Magic: The area of another spell cannot extend into the sphere. Overlapping areas are suppressed. Example: flames from Wall of Fire. are suppressed within the sphere, creating a gap.
Active Spells: Ongoing spells or magical effects on creatures or objects are suppressed while inside the sphere.
Magic Items: Properties and powers of magic items are suppressed in the sphere. Example: a Longsword +1 functions as a mundane Longsword. Magic resumes if the item leaves the sphere.
Magical Weapons: If used against a target in the sphere, or wielded by a creature inside, a weapon's magical properties are suppressed. If the weapon leaves the sphere (e.g., a fired arrow), its magic resumes immediately.
Magical Travel: Teleportation and planar travel fail if the sphere is the origin or destination. Portals and extradimensional openings (e.g., Gate) close while within the sphere.
Summoned Creatures: A creature or object created or summoned by magic vanishes while inside the sphere, reappearing once its space is no longer covered by it.
Dispel Magic: Effects such as Dispel Magic cannot end or suppress an Antimagic Field. Multiple Antimagic Fields do not nullify each other.
